While it is well-known that breeds like Golden Labradors often assist those who are partially sighted or blind, there are countless other "unsung heroes" within the dog community. These devoted animals play crucial roles in supporting individuals with a wide spectrum of needs, from PTSD therapy to providing comfort for those with neurodivergence and various social anxieties.

The founding of Service Dog Register was inspired by a poignant experience of an ex-serving veteran of Iraq, who faced significant challenges while trying to access public spaces with his Pomeranian, a vital support for his PTSD. This encounter highlighted a prevalent issue: society's frequent failure to recognise the essential role of service dogs beyond their conventional understanding.

Our platform offers a thorough application process where each case is meticulously reviewed by a panel of experts to determine eligibility for registration. Upon approval, members receive a comprehensive ID pack for their dog, which includes the breed, specific services provided, and a QR code linking to a private page detailing the dog's needs and legal rights under the Equality Act 2010.

Membership options vary from a single year to a three-year term and include a portion of the proceeds being donated to various dog-related charities annually. Full members enjoy additional benefits such as subscriptions to related magazines, access to exclusive events, and discounts at shows and venues across the UK.

Moreover, Service Dog Register provides a "Dog Friendly App," featuring an interactive map that identifies dog-friendly locations nationwide, complete with reviews of facilities and suggestions for nearby attractions that welcome service animals.
